About Our program

Siloam Springs High School Audio-VisualTechnology and Film (AVTF) program was established in 2010. It started out with just a couple of students learning the basics of videography, but now the program has blossomed! Currently, we offer several different classes that students can choose from, these include: Fundamentals of AVTF, Intermediate AVTF, Advanced Film I & II, Advanced Panther TV I & II, Intro to Media Communications, and AV Lab. In these classes students learn about different jobs, aspects, and skills required to "make it" in the professional media world.

Every year we attend the Spring Creek Film Festival in Springdale, AR, to compete and appreciate filmmakers and broadcasters across the region. We also attend Student Television Network in the spring of each year, and compete at the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association convention.

We are a proud part of Siloam Springs High School's Career and Technical Education department.  Learn more about SSHS CTE.
